Virtualization technology makes it possible to use multiple operating systems on the same computer. This type of operation is useful both for server farms, where a Server Consolidation project is possible, and for workstations.

Client virtualization, both for office and design workstations (such as CAD, CAM, CAE, etc.), allows to unify all client system in a central Computing Data Center. Through the use of any thin client connected to the central server it will be possible to use one's workspace and environment.

A virtualization solution enhances the operative management of workplaces, reducing significantly the cost of installation, maintenance, and upgrade.
How? For example:

  • For each new worker it will not be necessary to waste time with a new installation of a workspace. The system configuration will be replicated virtually and used for every new workstation making it ready in few operations.

     

  • In case a single user needs greater hardware resources it won't be necessary to act on the pc. It will be sufficient to change parameters on the virtualized system making greater hardware resources available for the client. This will maximise efficiency in use of company resources.

     

  • In case of hardware failure on the client, work continuity is guaranteed. All that the user needs to do is access his account from a different computer to find his workspace intact and immediately operational.
