RFId (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is the new frontier for stock traceability, warehouse management and has applications in many different sectors.
RFID is a system of intelligent labels composed of a microchip (the tag) applied on the product and an antenna that interacts with it. Inside the microchip you can save any type of data in its memory. The memory can be of ROM type (from which you can only read data) or RAM (where you can read and write). Memory capacity goes from few bytes up to Kbytes.
When tags are in a certain radio field, they activate and transmit data stored in the microchip and, if requested, write new data.
The "intelligence" of these tags is in the computer systems that use the tag memory to read and write precious data.
